SB 5714 will establish a permanent early detection breast and cervical cancer screening program. Putting this program into statute will also allow for direction and policy input that is not available through the budget process.
Please contact your legislators and urge them to support SB 5714.
We know that early detection is the best way to reduce deaths from breast and cervical cancer. We also know that women with low incomes are less likely to receive cancer screening, and are therefore more likely to be diagnosed with more advanced disease than higher-income women. By providing access to health care services and diagnosing cancer early, treatment can be less invasive, health care costs are contained and, most importantly, lives can be saved.

PLEASE DON'T JUST SEND THIS MESSAGE ON AS IS - please take a minute or two and tell your legislators in your own words why the Breast and Cervical Health Program is important to you.
